Is this a hobby? Is it playing with man toys? I don’t know, and I don’t care. This is fun! And addicting.
With the Axial AX24 as a base, I have enough parts on the way to turn this from a plastic-top-heavy toy into a mountain-crawling-brass-carbon-fiber beast. It will be unrecognizable.
Why the Axial AX24?
Two damn fine reasons: Ax is in the name, and it has dual steering. I’m Ax – that was an easy one. The dual steering, on the other hand, adds multiple dimensions to the capability. It can maneuver tighter spaces and “crab crawl” to different lines. This adds more levels of complexity to driving, and I look forward to figuring it all out! Not to mention the number of modifications. This will be a complete rebuild.
